Hello all!

I just bought a Pioneer 1000-5LE from an out-of-state dealer and I'm awaiting delivery. I grew up riding Honda ATV's so I'm stoked to try out my new toy.

I am currently buying accessories and I have a technical question. What is the diameter of the "torso bars" in the bed of the P1K-5? They're the bars mounted to the sides of the bed toward the rear. I know they're smaller than the 1.75" ROPS bars on the main cage.

I'm thinking those bars might be a perfect place to mount ROTOPAX fuel cells...

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the club, I’m not sure what the diameter is but I’ll measure mine when I get home.

Awesome. That's exactly what I needed to know.

Not to be a pain, but I don't suppose someone could measure from the center of the bar to the top of the bed rail for me so I can make sure a fuelpax will fit??

My impatience won't allow me to wait for my Honda to get here first!

I ordered a couple of 2 gallon FuelPax since they are 13.25" wide and Axia Alloys rotopax mounts since they are the only ones I could find with 1" clamps. I'll have one on each torso bar. I would have liked the 3 gallon pack but they're 14" wide so might be pushing it for the space available.

I also discovered that RotoPax now makes traction boards nearly identical to Matrax and the mounting pattern matches the 4 gallon fuelpax. I now have a great set-up for my JEI front storage rack that's coming with my front bumper. :D

With all the stuff I have coming for my Pioneer, I might have to do a build video... This place is costing me money!
