I saw that on the local news and I’ve been meaning to round up all the fire extinguishers and check the numbers. Thank you for the reminder, I’ll do this tomorrow.

All of mine are recalled, except the bigger ones I have in the house.

My company now has a fire suppression division I should really check on our employee discounts.

Kidde is sending me all new extinguishers, I would really recommend writing down the model # (found under the UL Label) and serial # and taking the 5mins to call them.

Gives me the warm and fuzzies not to worry about it now that I know there is a recall on all my old ones.

Also very easy to use the online request form, both of our boats had recalled extinguishers. Turn around for replacements from Kidde was about ten days which spanned Thanksgiving which I though was very prompt.

From the web site : The recall involves 134 models of Kidde fire extinguishers manufactured between January 1, 1973 and August 15, 2017, including models that were previously recalled in March 2009 and February 2015.

With extinguishers from 1973 till now recalled how dose a company stay in business?
If they have been bad since 1973 why do people still think an extinguisher is a useful product?
And people wonder why I'm so skeptical of the government.

No “Kiddie” is the Brand, you’ll find them in your house, RV, etc... depending on what they’re rated for.

I know, just thought Honda might have influenced there testing. HA! I do need to get one for Rooster though.
