P1000 Looking for black friday skid plate deal

I'm looking for a skid plate. I've heard people comment that the plastic is better then aluminum because it bends back if you bounce off something. I like the superatv one, but I'm turned off by the install comments people made about the stock bolt holes not lining up.

Anyone know of a good skidplate that's also going to be on sale for black friday?

Serious question: Is the TA skid plate worth $300 more than the SATV skid plate?

One of the reviews indicated that it installs the same way as the SATV (a bunch of self-tapping screws). Is that correct? Do the ALL mount that way? Is that bad?

I've never had the SATV skid, I have had the Trail Armor since mid 16 and have no complaints and I have slid off and over a lot of stuff. The fasteners I'm not real happy with, there are some better fastening systems that work better.

The Rivals have been fantastic. No complaints. But for the discount right now, made in USA and how they went on my Talon, yes Id buy the SATV

Check with Ricochet, I got the full alum set but they also have plastic if that's your thing. No extra holes in the frame, uses only existing mounting locations. They usually have a Black Friday sale, that's when I got mine 2 yrs ago.

Check with Ricochet, I got the full alum set but they also have plastic if that's your thing. No extra holes in the frame, uses only existing mounting locations. They usually have a Black Friday sale, that's when I got mine 2 yrs ago.

For the same coverage area as the SATV (does not include A-Arms), Ricochet has all aluminum 3/16" 5052-H32 Aluminum for $1050 or 3/16" Aluminum with 1/4" UHMW overlay for $1475.
