Unfortunately I’m afraid that my choices are shelled out old Chief throwing rods or Chinese junk, or old carts with HF motors.Stay away from Chinese crap if u can. I have a shelf and a building full of parts for them. I've been keeping them running for years there a total nightmare. I bought 2 new at same time they each had different stators different cdi box's different carb set ups lol and trust me u will be changing all that alot it was a full time job keeping them both running.
13 hp should be enough to have fun . Just me I'd give 4 or 5 hundred cause of the motor but I'd try for less if possible.I found this older gokart. I used to assemble them for sale back in the day. I believe they are no longer made, but were made in the USA. I believe this is probably something around a 2010 vintage
I believe it is a Manco Dingo. This one has the 13hp Honda motor with battery start option. Unfortunately no reverse.
Would you buy it and what would you give for it if it’s in good running order?

Around my area that would go between $600-$900. That 13hp is nice though. But no suspension.......I found this older gokart. I used to assemble them for sale back in the day. I believe they are no longer made, but were made in the USA. I believe this is probably something around a 2010 vintage

Wow but I believe itRight now motorless shells in my area are getting 4-500 if you can believe that..
There is a really beat on Hammerhead near me for sale that they are asking 2500 for it. Can’t find any new one locally.I have these 2 for my 3 boys. They are the Hammerhead brand that is owned by Polaris....I believe. They have been really good for us. The bigger one has been to quite a few off road parks and been lots of fun. It has over 500 miles on it and almost all of them have been in Tennessee!! My boys now ride full size machines and we are looking to sell them. These have been great at teaching them the basics. Both have electric start and reverse!View attachment 296207View attachment 296208View attachment 296209View attachment 296210View attachment 296211View attachment 296212View attachment 296213View attachment 296214View attachment 296215View attachment 296216

That's awesome. I shot you a PM; been looking for something for the kids to ride around at the farm that's got a cage. My 4 year old is already over the Power Wheels and a go-kart would be awesome until she's a little older. If your at all interested let me know....we can make a deal happen! Especially for a fellow member looking to get his kids involved! Those are how I got mine going and now my 16 drives a Talon X, 13 year old drives a YXZ, and 9 year old drives the Ace....all really well!! I Love going off roading with the boys now!!
I have been considering this. You could always build one. My son drug this shopping cart home from a wash when he was in grade school. He convinced me that we were going to build a Go-Kart out of it. That thing sat in the back yard and even made the move to a new house. We finally got to it the summer after college graduation when he had a month before he left to join the Army. Great Father Son memories putting this together. Here is a video.
Go with something easy to work on and get parts for.
Remember Bro......pics or it didn't happen 😜I have been considering this.
right now the focus for me is to just get the interest sparked / confirmed.
The dingo I shown earlier while not the “best” I think fits the bill as a starting point. Definitely I’m paying more than I would like…but I believe I could flip it fast if the kids don’t like it. I have arranged to pick it up Friday afternoon.
@Hometeam thanks for the offer…certainly tempting, but I’d estimate I’d have the better part of $400 in fuel just to get close enough to pick them up. For me it’s 9 hr drive to Chitcago alone.
