I thought adding some side lights would be handy after the front and rear lights. After a month I think the side lights are my favorite mod. Very compact. Dont stick out. The spot lights are perfect for seeing out into fields as you drive. Can easily see 150 yards plus see what is close to you. You have no idea what you are missing till you try them at night. Gives you 360 degree visibility.

Stick down from roll bar about 1.5”. Stick out about 1.75”. Had to cut off the mount arms and drill a new hole in them to make them compact. Was not hard since they are aluminum. Used a black paint pen where I cut them off. The house in the picture is about 150 yards off.

Those mounts suck! Look at the TSC mounts.

Ok. They work great so far. Where might I find these amazing TSC mounts?

I like the TSC mounts and I like the Tusk flag mounts. You can get the Tusk in vertical, horizontal, and adjustable for $10 each.

Tusk UTV Vertical Flag Mount

I like the idea of side lights too, but it looks like something I would hit my head on a lot!

I also have a few of the Nilight brand lights. They're a few years old and still working.

Yup.. any mount that uses a screw on each side will give you a better fit and less aggravation mounting.

The side of my roof slides along trees all the time. I'm afraid that would get ripped off in short order. I do like the idea because I have them in the back.

First thing that came to my mind too. Every time we come back from a ride there are branches & sh!t stuck between the roll bar and the roof..

Cool idea though!

I try not to hit too many branches but the lights are tough and only about $10 each if you did smash one. Also you could rotate them back under the roll bar. It just doesn’t give you as much light but still would work fine.

They don’t take too much of a beating as you can tuck them behind the roll bar... but with that said one of mine are currently hanging by the cord! lol

All tucked away because even my Velcro grab handles have been ripped of a couple times.

These X5’s are bright!

@joeymt33 Looks like you removed the seatbelt housing cover can have the light bolted on that forward bolt - is that pretty accurate?

I was looking last night at using that bolt but was going to try and build out with a spacer - did not think of removing the cover.

You are correct sir.

I was thinking of removing the whole seatbelt mechanism completely because it’s never used. But I guess it doesn’t hurt to stay there.
