1st off it's a 2014 700-4 that I bought brand new.
So the battery died in it from playing the radio while building a jungle gym for the granddaughters, (Turn key, dash lights up, fuel pump hums, go to start *click, click, click*), So I put jumper cables on it from my lawn mower (& the leads were hooked up correctly lol), let it charge maybe 5 minutes tops, shut off the mower, un hook the cables, turn the key to "on" & nothing...no dash lights, no fuel pump hum, nothing.... so I turn the key to start to see what happens and the dash lights start flashing on & off... I turned the key to off and they continued flashing! The only way I got it to stop was by unhooking the positive terminal from the battery.
After that I tested the battery and it was charged and showed good. I hooked the terminals back up and turned the key on, & nothing... turned it to start & nothing. For s***s&giggles I unhooked the terminals from the battery and hooked my jumper cabled (from the mower) to them and still had nothing.
Anyone ever hear of this, or have any ideas??
Thanks in advance, Rick

Check all your fuses, remove battery and place on a 2a charger overnight. Get a good charge into it and try again. Is this an original battery?

Not original, bought last fall. Also, I bypassed the battery by hooking the jumper cables from the mower to the positive and negative cables while unhooked from the battery

With it being a 2014, check the ignition switch.
MANY older 700's had a switch problem.
The design would let water/condensation in, with no way for it to get out.
"But Mark, I've never had it that deep."
Notice, I also said condensation. I don't think the one below was in water either.
This one would start and run with no key in the ignition.
He came out to his garage, and it was running, no key.
Bad switch

If the link doesn't show up, google "2016 700 started by itself"
Read his story, very similar to yours.

Post back what you find, maybe it will help the next guy.
