Very nice work and like the rubber mat in bed as well as the lab :) One comment, however, you may consider a better lynch pin (what is holding in place) on the receiver; that is, I had a set up like that and twice running through high grass the safety pin which holds the lynch pin was pushed out and had to go back and find the receiver, so something to consider, perhaps like this
5/8″ Hitch Pin w/ Lynch Pin – 3-1/2″ – BHI BP5835/LP8453 | Camco Trailer Parts & Accessories
Great advice. I'm on ii

I have another comment about the hitch. Do a search on hitches in this forum. The 700 is weak back there. Several of us ripped them out. If you can weld, you will want to reinforce the receiver so that doesn't happen. I think there is one to be purchased but I can't recall the name.

Good work on everything.

@Max718 @Sheepdog Thanks! The wife, choclate lab and the 9 month old daughter have been enjoying it every day! Can't wait to put some wild game in the back of it though!

@Gator Thank you for the much appreciated advice. Saved me a huge headache. Did it cause major damage to anything or just rip it out? Were you towing or trying to pull on something? Has anyone done a write up on the mod?

Interesting, I noticed the safety pin on my hitch pin missing last week. I never considered that sticks might drag it out. Thanks!!!

Any upward load will do it such as plowing a food plot. In my case I got stuck and used a 4 wheeler to pull me back out. That's all it took. A friend of my crossed a log and his trailer ball bumped as he drove over it.

You can search the forum and you will find some of the damaged hitches and see the solutions.

yup this was a problem for sure. mine got it from a rock as the rear tires came off another one. I don't keep the ball on there unless I need it anymore.
