Ran into problem as seen in these photos...

First mount is too wide at bottom bumper location...so ran to hardware store and got longer bolts and washers to act as spacers

I can't speak for the mount itself, but I do find it kind of interesting that it fits on both the 1000 and 700. I have the factory (warn) mount on my 700 and it fits pretty well. I just looked at the 1000 factory mount and it looks like a complete different beast with a bushing welded on it to take up the space. Just makes me wonder myself if the denniskirk has the wrong info, but it looks like you are going to get it to work fine. I do have a moose country plow blade that I picked up for cheap and extended to accommodate the width of the pioneer. The blade at least seems to be very well made, and I think you will be very pleased after you get it all mounted up. Enjoy.

I have a moose plow for mine. Not exactly sure on model. I can check tomorrow when I get off work and let you know. It looks different from your setup though. Where you located at? It appears we are having some of the same weather. Wind chill to almost -40 is forecast for my area in central Iowa.

Well...emailed Moose and called Denniskirk to resolve issue! But I'm thinking I will have to return it:(. Really disappointed because the quality of this product is top notch!

Might have to go with this...

I'm sorry to hear that. I was doing a little look for you but couldn't find out any real answers myself. There was a product number for the mount for a "Pioneer and Pioneer-4 14-16" so I would assume just the 700. The undermount is different between the 2 models, so I would assume the R4 version should be different. Good luck anyway you go.

Mine in an under mount system. I just have to drive over it and put in two pins and then hook up my winch line to lift the blade. Hope the pictures help you. 0017258c831cb2d5f78b4c99b0587d4a8301386f2bd470ee89060b92f3af9812

The second picture is kind of hard to see, but there is a flat plate (bolts to undercarriage) with two tabs (one for both sides the push tube)where the cotter pin goes in to connect the plow.

Look HD! Does the mounting plate use pre existing hardware? I can see a few bolts in the photo. Also, how is the side to side movement?o_O

This is my setup. I've only used it a couple times this year, but so far I'm pleased with it.

The hardware I am not sure. It was installed at my dealer when I bought it. What do you mean side to side movement?

Dennis kirk has the instructions for the mount online and it looks pretty simple to install. Just the 2 bolts in the front and 2 underneath. The only disadvantage I see with the undermount ones is the limited height you can lift it. My shed is pretty tight, so it's pretty nice to be able to lift it up and about set it on the hood if I want. Makes the headlights useless though because they are covered with the plow.
