Yes, it is expensive, but the labor I saved not wiring all the switches was worth it. And I had credit card points on amazon so I didn't have to come out of pocket as much.
I saw that about the winch, But I planned on installing a Warn Axon 5500, and will use what comes with it. I've had issues with the switches I've used for the winch on my pioneer.
I mounted the brain by the battery, comes with 2' power cable to connect to battery. See pic for brain location next to airbox.

Thanks, when I first looked at the pic I thought i was under the hood. I'll probably order this as well. Thanks for the help.

Once I get closer to one in person, I'll take a look for it.
Once I can take it out of my garage to really look around it, I'm sure I'll find it. My motor home is blocking it so I can't get it out of the garage. I'm pulling it out tomorrow to go to Mulberry Mountain for it's first ride.

You could probably mount it under the hood and use the winch wiring for power. I thought about it but by the air filter was easier access for me.

Loving the idea of the switch pro. I a little pricey at $550, but sure would be a clean and easy install. It says that it can't be used as a winch control, any idea why? I understand not running the winch power thru it, but curious as to why the controls can't. Would be great to be able to put a winch in and winch out momentary button on it.

Did you run new power wires back to the battery or just hook to what honda provided for the winch?
Between OTRATTW switches, connectors, wire, solder, and PDM, I bet I am more than $550 for 8 switches before you were to even consider time....

This will be my 4th rodeo on wiring everything up. It’s a PAIN, as soon as all the early adopters like @my99svt figure out all the quirks and make sure there aren’t any major issues, and a few more aftermarket accessories are available I’ll probably be adding on to the stable.

So much truth to that!
The price of $550 is scary because it is all spent at once.
When you use switches, it's $75 here, $130 there, another $50 here etc. It adds up. We just don't recognize it as much. Anyone asks, we would say we only have $200 in it. But in reality it is much much more.

Looking good. Can't beat the Switch Pro. Have them in both my 18 X3's.

I really like your dash layout! What hub adaptor did you use for the steering wheel? I hate my stocker.
The steering wheel you see was not a Talon.
We have a bunch of threads with everything in it for shopping.

P1000 - Steering wheel
That is one of the latest threads with lots of info.
