Ok as promised....

Got everything finished, and put back together tonight.

Attached the lower intake coupling to what's left of the stock intake.

Then installed the lower portion

A little bit of cutting to get around the snorkel

Nice fit!

Unfortunately since I had already cut some plastic for the other snorkel design, there's a bit of a gap....I guess i could replace the piece some day, but it really doesn't bother me that much.

Here it is all put back together I just have to grab 2 gear clams for the scoop to attach to the RPS, and it's good to go. Started right up, and I must say, it's WAY quieter than the previous ABS one, I can't wait to get out and test it soon.

Ya, now I just have to wait for the baffles from China Post......Once they arrive, in they go, fuel tank vent, and ready for submarine mode lol.

The bellows showed up this week, will be installing them this weekend and taking everything for a test ride next weekend.

I'd like to see video of your submarine in action, pictures just don't do it justice.

May have to settle for whatever snow I can find, which could very well be submarine depth lol. We have a huge storm rocking through right now and the freezing level is about 3500' there should hopefully be some good snow next weekend to play in.

Well finally got out and did some testing with the snorkel today, it worked awesome! I wasn't planning on going submarining so I didn't get the bellows installed on the diffs and sub-transmission....Guess I'm changing all fluids this after the weekend now... All in all, super happy with the snorkel, after it sitting for 10 minutes off like the following while we setup to winch me out, and then playing in that deep or deeper water for another hour, only had a few droplets of water in the bottom of the airbox when I got home and checked. Next to finish up the bellows, and figure out what a kit's worth and if there's any interest.

Got hung up on the big truck ruts :(

The next 2 pictures were a fiasco lol. The other side of the washout/deactivation ditch you can see there had a big rock, and then a couple feet above that had a big slippery log still embedded in the bank from the old bridge. No matter what I tried I couldn't bounce myself up it, and couldn't back out, nor could my buddies ATV winch get me out, so I ended up doing a 15 point turn at the bottom of the gulch, got it this far up, then was able to winch myself out.

Quick update, been running the rig hard on a few hunting trips, and other runs, and everything's been holding up really well. Went to install the diff bellows, and they're quite a big larger than the nipples, going to need to come up with some tubing, and couplings to get it to the right size. Any suggestions where to find that, and the spring clamps? Nowhere locally has anything. Also I've been noticing a bit more noise coming from the intake, i suspect part of it is reverberating off the roof, and now that it's a clean clear shot to the airbox I'm hearing a lot more of the intake noise when at WOT. I was thinking maybe welding in a couple baffles in the intake that should also help keep water out, and block the sound waves from making it out, it will restrict airflow a little more, but I'm open to other suggestions heh.

Might be a bit loud in the cockpit with intake above your'd head but it's way better than sucking water into your engine.
Run your intake scoop outside the cockpit.

So after being annoyed, and having a few of the back seat passengers complain about the noise, I did some research. It seems the common way to fix the intake impulse noise is to put a grid into the intake, and the theory seems to be the smaller spaces break up the sound waves. So last night, I decided to rectify the problem. First I took some 1/16" steel I had laying around, cut into 1" x 3" strips, and then flipped 1/2 of them and cross cut them to fit into a grid.

Tacked everything up and then tested with and without, a small difference at idle, but WAY less noise revving the engine

Then went for the extra trick tube sock pre-filter and it got even a bit quieter, and should help a bit more with dust
