Ram is going to kick sales number ass if they keep doing what they’re doing in the 1/2 market! They’re a lot more affordable out of the gate and offer a lot for them money. But the issue is the used trucks aren’t going to be worth s*** in 5 years and 100k miles.
None of them are anyway.

You’re probably right about that. As long as we still have choices and aren’t forced to drive one of those terrible in line engines without spark plugs, I’ll be happy. Lol

Figured the s*** needed stirred. We’re all aware there are more different wants then vehicles available. Good thing for choices.
The only thing I disagree with that so many believe is the more money something is the better it is and that’s just not always the case. Better is in the eye of the beholder as seen in this thread as well as many others. We all look at the same thing in many different ways.
I’m cheap at heart... but as I can afford to spend more as I grow older, I’m learning that the old saying, “buy once cry once” is very true. The sxs has really taught me that more than anything else I’ve ever owned! Also, hammock gear is very much the same!

With a Cummins they are. Always have been. 1/2 ton market will be tougher to achieve resale I’ll agree. But if you’re going for ultimate resale then neither truck wins. Resale goes by perceived dependability.

Well, this is a half ton thread... it keeps getting morphed into others. And while I agree on the Cummins aspect. That’s a rabbit hole. We can then talk about how a Cummins 3/4 or 1 ton is garbage compared to the life, hauling capacity and dependability of a rig like @Kilo427 is driving.

But back to 1/2 ton... Ram is offering a nice truck for the money. The issue for me.... it’s just a vehicle. If someone just wants and needs a truck for going to the grocery and the odd ball truck jobs then it’s great. But if you’re looking to do more than the occasional light tow, there are better options. It’s like the minivan of the truck world.

Yes.. the Toyota kills it for resale. But you also probably get the least for you money with the yota.
Ya they are behind but they have something big up their sleeves coming, not that I’d buy one but I think the big three will be taking a hit in sales shortly.
Toyota Diesel with Aisen would be a killer setup. Look at American Vs Japanese Sxs, it would be the same difference. Hopefully Lexus design team has some input in the interior...

I do think the ram kills it with the air suspension. Hell, I’m adding bags to mine when I get it. That really should be part of the max tow package on the ford. It wouldn’t cost much to add and would really help that 1/2 ton stability. I really like the interior on the ram. But at the end of the day, it’s the torque from the eb that won me over. I don’t fit as well in the ford as I do the ram but for something to bridge the gap between a pulling truck like like a 3/4 and the plushness of the 1/2 ram. I think the max tow fills that gap better than anything else.

It should work great for your needs! When is it coming in?

I'd really like a Tacoma. I want the ride of a 3/4 ton truck without having to pay for one.:D
I almost bought one when I was shopping last go around... the interior room was impressive. Then I got in the ford and it was just as roomy but with a much nicer interior.
Tacoma? They are small and expensive, did I miss something?

Ford over the years has acquired to many awards that they have been turning them down because they are out of storage space.
I guess they could’ve actually taken the government money and built a display case....Instead of using it to buy JD Power awards ...*cough cough CHEVY*
