New Ford 1/2 ton trucks

Well, this is a half ton thread... it keeps getting morphed into others. And while I agree on the Cummins aspect. That’s a rabbit hole. We can then talk about how a Cummins 3/4 or 1 ton is garbage compared to the life, hauling capacity and dependability of a rig like @Kilo427 is driving.

But back to 1/2 ton... Ram is offering a nice truck for the money. The issue for me.... it’s just a vehicle. If someone just wants and needs a truck for going to the grocery and the odd ball truck jobs then it’s great. But if you’re looking to do more than the occasional light tow, there are better options. It’s like the minivan of the truck world.

Thats slick but a Laramie 3500 SRW is @75,000 as built for me, they start at 49,000. So I am guessing 90,000+ for the Kentucky derby edition with options???? Thats 2-3 times what I would like to pay.

Other than the small dent on the front passenger fender and he lack of navigation that was supposed to be on it! And not writing some of the rebates I was told I would get. Gerrrr!! But we’ll see how they handle it.

Yeah... I think they will. But I was re pissed for a while... all things considered I think I’m going to be really happy. The 10 speed tranny does a great job and the 2nd gen EB has some noticeable gains. And I LOVE the mirrors. I can see soooo much better. Thanks!
