Since it was a dreary weekend I decided to play with the P5 inside instead. Installed the SuperATV flip windshield, Strongmade front bumper, Smittybilt 4K winch, and made some skid plates from an old street sign since the plastic skids didn’t impress me much. Plus I had half the machine torn apart so skid plates were easy to do. Mounted the solenoid under the seat on the passenger side because that was about the only way to get the supplied cables to reach and put things in a safe spot. I mounted the plug for the remote under the seat on the driver’s side, It will only be a backup for if the supplied rocker doesn’t work. Next on the agenda are front and rear LED lights, speakers or sound system, and gun rack.

Very nice work, especially the homemade skid plate! I suspect if you have some additional signs laying around, you could make some skid plats up and sell them to pay for that next mod :)

Good work, that machine is coming along nice! The only thing I question is the location for the winch remote? If you're stuck in a mudhole or the machine is on its side and you need to get out and operate the remote, you'll have to remove the seat bottom to plug it in? FWIW

Very impressive work. I think the P5 is the most modified and accessorized, and a fun one to work on. You’re making good progress. Btw I agree with trigger on the remote location, but it’s there, may as well see how it goes, it can always be moved easily should you decide best.

I figured I’ll only use it if the rocker fails so I really only installed it as an emergency backup. And with reflective blue vinyl on the other side of the street sign if it’s on its side my buddies can find me easy and help tip it back up! LOL!

Well it’s been a few months but I’ve added a few things so I figured I’d revive this post. Added a 20” LED Nilight bar up front, a set of Boss Speakers (4), and a rear LED bar for cargo/reverse. I’m gonna have to order the harness from HondaSxS so I can have auto-reverse lights and a rocker to activate it as cargo but I went ahead and ran an extra ground wire for that today too. It’s (over)due slightly for its first service so that’s coming up as well. Also added a Kolpin rear window and @trigger shield and man it’s amazing how much noise those two things stopped!

I guess I’ll have to add photos tomorrow, I don’t have enough service at the moment.
