Anybody know if the Honda hard roof will fit on over this?

If you remove the two center mounts from the roof, you can leave the alien shade on.

This is how I did mine. Works great.

It cuts down on the heat coming from the black roof also way cuts way down on the heat.

Have a little more info on this I leave mine on when my hard top is on. I could tell it worked as a barrier and helped keep the heat down off the roof.
Did a test on how much with a heat gun.

As along as it does not start a downpour while you have this one it is awesome. My wife does not want me to ever put back on the Honda hardtop - mostly due to the noice difference. I ran mine last summer but when we were going on a multi day ride I ended up putting the Honda hands top back on. Seeing @Hondasxs and @joeymt33 run theirs at Takeover made me wish I had brought mine with me.

I read somewhere a guy runs both the Alien sunshade and the Honda hard roof over the top, and just pulls the hard roof off when it's hot. I have both and plan to try that. Maybe don't clamp to the middle ROPS and just clamp the hard roof front and back on a 1000-5? Or, maybe run the Alien sunshade underneath the middle ROPS so you can still clamp the Honda roof?

I don't know which will work best, but I do love the Alien sunshade. All the benefits others mention...less dust, quieter, cooler, better visibility. The only SUCK is when it rains. In the Idaho mountains it seems I need both the hard roof when the rain moves in, and the sunshade roof when it's hot.

If anyone has figured out how to run both please post.

I’ve been looking and looking unless I’m missing something somewhere do they not make these for the 1000-3?

I've heard some owners buy the 1000-5 Alien sunshade, and then just connect it to the 1000-3 roof and then down the back behind the seat. You might need to buy different bungees, but they are cheap and available on Amazon. Look at the Alien Sunshade website on Amazon and you'll read reviews where others did that.

Thanks Landman and Bradley Thornton. Does the Honda plastic roof sag at all after removing the center clamps so you can leave the Alien sunshade on? Did you seal the holes? Any other tips?

I have my Alien 3 seat shade under my factory 5 seat hard top.
I also have the 5 seat version also and would suspect you could run the full shade under, may just a hot knife to make small slits for the center clamps.

I have the Shadeidea grey top also from Amazon. I could not tell a difference between the two when ordering, not sure what made me choose one over the other. Those are awesome in my opinion. I see everyone I know buy a UTV and the first thing they want to do is close it up with a black plastic roof. I wanted mine to be open with sun and light. These tops are a perfect answer for me. This did not interfere with my SuperATV windshield and my Swampdonkey stereo was easy to install under it. I recommend these for anyone wanting some more light and ventilation.

The hard top held heat and made it very dusty. This helped a ton. Looks great. Keeps the sun off but lets light in. I don't know them or anything just like it and thought I would share. Down side I put it on backwards and had to turn it around but to be far it took 2 min. I want know till winter but I think I will be able to leave it on when I put the hard top back on for the winter.

Don't cut the alien shade just go under the middle bar and u can leave factory roof clamps mine.
