I love mine, just swapped out the grill & bumper caps.
Me too. 200,000+ miles on my 2008 Crewmax. Other than maintenance, I have replaced 1 battery, and 1 alternator. Period. No BS. Doesn't use oil, and I have never babied it. Still runs and rides like the day I got it. I've owned em all, and I doubt I'll be going back.

@JACKAL how does the price point compare to a 4500/5500 Ram optioned out similarly? Have you always driven Ford's or have you test driven other brands? 150k is a good bit of miles for the smaller 19.5's that the 450's run. Just changed my first set of steers at 130k on the big truck. Should get 225k or so out of the drives. My next truck I hope will be a 4500 Ram chassis cab.

Current status of my tow pig/project truck. 97 7.3 powerstroke. 5 speed swapped, replacing tanks now and cleaning the frame up to repaint. New front clip and core support, carpet, lift, dp, and paint. Then 4" suspension lift and 38's.

I just bought a 2016 F150 2.7L Ecoboost last fall. Since then I have put ~21,000 miles on it. So far no issues (better than I can say of my pioneer with ~450 as it sits at the dealer). I love the truck so far I have averaged 20.8 MPG over the life of it including towing (which drops it to ~13 with the P1K on my 16' trailer).

My work truck is a 2016 Ram 1500 5.7L Hemi and it is nice but I prefer the F150, even with the bigger engine the F150 feels quicker and it pulls 3-4 MPG better mileage.

My fathers truck was a 2007 Toyota Tundra and it was extremely reliable (except for the parking brake that was a POS) over 10 years ~150K miles there was really only one big repair and that was because a squirrel chewed up a wiring harness that had a silent recall on it. The parking brake did have to be replaced 4 or 5 times though (it was underdesigned and even new never had enough power to hold the truck). He replaced it this spring with a new Ford F-250 because he bought a 13,000 lb travel trailer and needed something able to pull it.

Overall I chose the Ford for the Aluminum body and higher mileage. I would bet I would have better reliability out of the Toyota but I can pay for a lot of repairs with the fuel savings I will see. My truck is mostly commuting miles with frequent stops at home improvement stores.

Some of you may not believe this but my F-250 6.7L Power Stroke gets around 17.3 MPG running empty and a little over 11 MGP pulling the toy hauler and that is in the mountains here in Colorado. Torque and beer is the answer to everything.

Very nice truck @100Acre i hope you enjoy it for many years to come. Got to love the tightness of a new truck knowing your going to break it in to your liking:)
I have 15' F-350 Super Duty Platinum PS I bought new and love it. Pull a lot with it, 38' toyhauler and my tandem for the P1K5 with other quads and my 48' Ford 8N and the wood for the barn that fills the bed and the trailer just to name a few. Oh and a V plow for the winter to get me to the cabin in the woods. I worked for Roush racing/Industries for a while in transportation with heavy truck as a mechanic, and by far we got the best longevity out of our fords over the GM's and deffenatly the Doges, tranny and drive train issues galore. My favorite story was when I bought this truck, our friend that's a cheif executive engineer at the Chrysler proving grounds by our house wanted me to by a truck with her very lucrative discount intriguing! when I asked about if they had done anything to the tranny? she said her tranny guys said there the same tranny as before just tweeked with more gears and programming! Lmao!!!! It a nice looking truck, but I said no thanks. I'll stick to what's ben good for me and what I worked on. So far not disappointed. I think you made a good choice @100Acre ;)

I believe that. My duramax gets better than yours empty but the same or worse towing my toy hauler. 34k lbs gcwr. I’ve gotten as high as 21 Empty running 60-65 on the highway.

Beautiful truck. Only thing I'd want is a dually.

Thank you. I thought about that, but I'd have a bit of difficulty when plowing on the 1/4mile 2 track to my cabin and other things with the wider sides. It certainly crossed my mind though. In the end I'm still happy with this choice.

21 is really good empty on the highway. I am not sure what my Power stroke will get on a longer highway trip as I always have something hooked up, but now I need to see if I can beat you Duramax.

I got that once... I’d say I’m in that 17-19 range on average.

It sure is........ I had more to say but decided to delete it.....I was ranting and it was getting way off topic. Cheers!
No hate for their reliability. The Taco was a cool mini before they made it almost as big as a tundra. I'm just partial to my American trucks built in Mexico.

In all fairness they are still building the same truck that is American designed. Ram is way overdue for a body style upgrade, as usual.

I'm still partial to the way older trucks look. An old ram bodystyle with the ram hood ornament but install the new interior. And gadgets.
