Truth is we'd be pissed if we had a trail system next to our land and people rode and trashed it.

Again, enforcement is the key. Will everyone riding get pulled over? Will those seen littering or belligerent drunks be targeted? I wouldn't want to be the one to test it out, but I think the people down there are well aware of how much business those trails bring to the area. These laws may just give them a better opportunity to address poor behavior. May not be designed to keep away the good folks.

I had always THOUGHT the outlaw trails were still on GOV'T land, simply not approved for riding. I hate to hear it is on private land, I was hope to make it there this year for a ride. $50/person to ride is ridiculous.
$50 is not that bad. $100 for a couple. Non-resident for RRB Is over $100

I'll second this. It's worth the money. They are extremely well maintained and marked trails and the ability to ride town to town and eat/get gas is super cool.
Best marked and maintained I've ridden on plus hundreds of miles. I do wish you could Night ride but I understand that too.

I get it. But let me put this in perspective. SXS 15K. Toyhauler 30K. Truck to pull these toys 50K. Then we say damn that permit is expensive.
I guess but I’m use to spending 0 to ride or camp where my kids can come along and we all do as we wish with no congestion. Can’t imagine someone telling me my kids can’t come or ride,I can’t go out at nighttime and have a curfew or worrying I’ll be stopped for anything.
People paying to follow rules is mind boggling to me. I guess I don’t understand but I’ve never said I was the smartest guy. I suppose it would be fun on occasion but would be hard for me to frequent

I truly understand. We have many outlaw trails to ride in my area and love them. No rules and no cost.

I "kinda" get it. I bet they have plenty of Aholes on these trails that are destroying , steeling and not respecting the property and owners of this land. There is always those few that mess it up for the rest of us!
True statement.

That don't apply to everyone. Some might be riding an ATV worth $3K, in the back of $4K pickup, making $500 week...... and they would say, damn that permit is expensive.

Other then our Sxs’ that’s us when we roll up with the toyhauler and pickup with 6k invested in both together lol. Those rigs don’t really fit the high class campground standards. But then again I guess we don’t either!

Yes you are correct for sure. But those who spent 100K to get to the trail can certainly afford the permits. Hell there was a time when my 3 wheeler was worth more than the truck I hauled it in so your point is well taken.

Bout like me, until the last 2 years, most the stuff I have is USED and OLD. Everybody ain't made out of money, but still like to have some enjoyment. Even now, most of my stuff was bought used. Since 1976 have have bought TWO NEW vehicles (not referring to toys). All the rest have been used.
