Hi all. Wondering what you would do if you could buy a 2nd sxs ..and you already had a P1k5d. I love the P1k. I considered going with a Polaris Rzr 1000, but after driving one I'm 99% sure if I buy anything it will be from the Pioneer family.

I sold my Kubota RTV 1140 last week. And I would like to turn that into another Honda for the stable. But which one? I know the P1k well. I have the 2018 model. If I bought another it would most likely be a 2016, the first year for the P1k. I think I could get by with a 700 but not sure if I'd be happy with less power and all would want the P1k over the 700. I would use both for work around the property (50 acres) and when friends / family visited we would go ride trails using both machines.

What would you buy if you were in this spot?

I wouldn't personally buy a p1000 for guest, they are not going to have a feel for it or drive it correctly. I'd get something simple for them. Either a pioneer 700 or the viking/wolverine from Yamaha.

Wait on the Talon

I'm looking at spending around 11k. What will a Talon sell for? I've been busy and have not kept up on the Talon, tell me about it please.

If it’s going to be driven mainly by others and you’re left maintaining it then I would 100% have to agree with what Plumber said without a doubt. Been down that expensive ass road a time or two...
I love the p1k5 as well but WOULD NOT buy one specifically for others. Like mentioned a Wolverine is a solid choice for that if not needing a ton of bed space, and the 700 is bulletproof for anyone
Have owned all of the above and that’s my honest opinion

The only others to drive it will be the same ones who have driven my P1k. But ....I just found a P700 2018 model for sale for 10k. New tires, windshield, roof (maybe more) Miles / Hours were not posted so I asked. I like the price.

Wife and I tend to our back 40 and go different directions. That's one reason I had a Kubota RTV 1140 and a P1k. So the two will mostly be used by us for work, but some fun will come into play.

Does the 700/4 have the cabin heat issue like the p1k?

Not near as bad. Heat not really issue in 1000 either though once easily addressed

I’d go with a wolverine if I were just looking for another machine with 2 seats. Otherwise I’d stick to an updated pioneer 1000

I had a Yamaha jetski that was bullet proof. Others have called the 700 bulletproof. Mind telling me why you'd go with a wolverine over a 700?

Things have a way of working out in the long run. I've been on a list for a dozer to come to my place and freshen some trails that are way overgrown. To much for my brush hog. Dozer dude has been out of state since March. I asked if he knew anyone else that might do this work. He gave me a name of a retired guy. We met, went over what was to be done. Agreed on a price and set the date for this past week.

All went well except for he mistakenly drover over my septic tank. We thought he only got the clean out so no prob. Wrong. He busted the cap and piece that holds the aerator motor. The tank itself did not crack as far as I know. Septic companies are swamped getting in tanks for new builds and maintenance ...so none available to give me an estimate till next week.

Due to this potential 6k expense and no insurance to help cover it (dozer dude had no insurance, he's retired, and my homeowners said septic systems are not covered) I will not be buying another sxs. Oh well. It was fun shopping.
