Lol.........I can see the temptation in doing that. I just hope I don't get to comfortable with the new suspension and do something stupid !
You will
I plan on it...

I will take a picture tomorrow that should convince you that it is impossible for it to hit the frame.......... as I said before "the shock will bottom out long before it hits the frame"

I would buy too, lets see the final stage and testing . If ok , please fabricate one pair for me. Thanks!

@jak9922 I took some pics to show how much angle the A-arm will have when the spring hits the frame. If you look at the bottom shock mounting hole in relation to the angle of the shock , you should see that the shock will have bottomed out long before it reaches this much angle.

I do realize these are the stock shocks and not the Progressive shocks , but it will be very much the same when the Progressive shocks are hooked up..........both shocks have only so much travel before they bottom out !

Version #2 of rear shock mount.

I decided to change the way I want these to be made , so I made up another mount. This one will be welded and bolted to the existing mount. This will make for a more rigid mount than version #1.

These images show how much angle the shock will have before it hits the new bracket (it is damn near horizonal)

Do you take angle of compression into consideration. I'm not familiar but is there optimal angle that shock needs to be compressed. Or any angle is fine???

Cant wait for the final product to be tested. Are you planning on standard or HD shocks?

I am going with standard.Being that they are adjustable , I can always stiffen them up if I need to !

It would be at a much lesser angle during compression , the pic shows worse case senario.the shock will never reach that much angle.

Any idea what the spring rate difference is between the HD and the standard ? I thought I read somewhere that it was 100# difference !
