P500 p5 suspension

well I just ordered a set of front shock for a different machine to see if I can fit them on the 500 I didn't order the rears yet incase I need to return them just make less of a headache I wont give any details yet on which machine they are for until I see if they work or wont or what mods need to be done fingers crossed p5 guys!!!!!

they are going to be delivered early next week I might have to weld up some new mounting tabs or see if I can make bolt on one lol who knows yet until I have them in my hands to actually play around with

Sounds like your trip to hatfield McCoy has given you some inspiration! Much like Can Am Commander shocks fit the 700 there has to be another atv or sxs out there with very similar shocks that fit. Good luck in your search, I'm watching.

I hope you are successful. I really can't figure out why Honda didn't give more thought to suspension on the P5. I have a friend with P Ranger 400 that has a very soft ride. And no I don't want any Polaris. Lol.

so far i found 1 set of front shocks that will work with different bushings and sleeves im hoping the next set will be a little more flexible

i had to flex this set a bit which stresses the front ball joints NOT cv the honda p5 ball joints will not allow the cv to over flex

i had to compress the spring to fit the stock location but the quick ride i went on. was 10000% better then stock the front end dipped and the ass grabbed it was awesome

Here is probably a dumb question...how do you adjust the rear shocks to be stiffer? After adding the toolbox and bed it just seems a bit soft. Could probably figure it out if it wasn't covered with mud.

on the bottom there is a preload adjustment just turn it the setting you want i just cranked mine to the max (largest)

How did you like that it felt like a pogo stick for me I'm running 2 clicks from lowest setting also what mechine where they off of

my box on the back ia around 80lbs so it wasnt bad and those front shocks i threw on for s***s and giggles were stockers off of a sand spyder
