Awesome video, thanks! I have 2 questions: has a P500 ever been able to make it up that V notch? and, throughout the P1K group, was there any noticeable difference between those with front lockers and those with I 4wd?
I think the 500 would make it. After all we went through with all the different setups, there wasn't a lot of difference at all. Nobody made it where the other didn't. And we all winched at the same place.

We would have displaced organs just trying to get up the access trail from the road.

"Bad_bowtie, post: 532137, member: 5077"]I backed out of the Overland trip a couple years when I still had the P500, partially due to a scheduling conflict at work(and knowing the limits of my machine), but it was probably for the best!
He's still looking for those limits....

Define "make it"? Winch is universally capable I guess.

A good driver can take a 500 anywhere. Even with 15-16" of g.c. I would hit hard enough for my soul to leave my body for a few seconds.
I can't say I agree with that. In not saying it wouldn't have hung with you on that trip, but the thing scares me on stuff I wouldn't have lifted an eyebrow for in the 700. It will surprise you with what it will do sometimes, though.
