As for the i4wd vs locker... Mehh, they both have their advantages and disadvantages. Clearance and wheel base are more important.

But I will say the i4wd is way more maneuverable in that tight nasty stuff than mine is in full lock. It definitely has its advantages after riding with @Cuoutdoors the last couple times now.

Awesome video, thanks! I have 2 questions: has a P500 ever been able to make it up that V notch? and, throughout the P1K group, was there any noticeable difference between those with front lockers and those with I 4wd?

I think the 500 would make it. After all we went through with all the different setups, there wasn't a lot of difference at all. Nobody made it where the other didn't. And we all winched at the same place.

I wouldn't pay extra for that option. But it does have advantages. I'm thinking the talon could really make that system shine.

He's still looking for those limits....

A good driver can take a 500 anywhere. Even with 15-16" of g.c. I would hit hard enough for my soul to leave my body for a few seconds.

I can't say I agree with that. In not saying it wouldn't have hung with you on that trip, but the thing scares me on stuff I wouldn't have lifted an eyebrow for in the 700. It will surprise you with what it will do sometimes, though.
