How's the acceleration up to 30? Will it cruise at 35 comfortably? Looking at getting a 500 but concerned about power. Don't care about going 50 but do drive down roads at 35 occasionally and wondering how well it will handle it. Thanks.

Power is surprising with this little buggy. I haul timber and crawl up steep hills easily and prefer the gear driven transmission over belt drive for this. Also have no trouble following or leading the big boys down the trail. Handling is fine at the practical 35mph. My rev limitter also kicks in at 42. When traveling the wide open(boring) trails we catch up to the speed demons at the turns and intersections so no problems there either.

So is it hitting the rev limiter or is it being governed?

Also how stable is the 500? Does it seem like it would be easy to roll. I've seen the one youtube video of the yellow 500 about rolling and I'm a little concerned about it rolling easily as narrow as it is.

Coming from a rincon I was worried about rolling over but it is more stable than an atv.

I have bigger tires and maybe .5 mph faster hahah so I guess 42.5 is better then 42

X2 @jak9922 I went form the 24" (really 23") OEM to true 26.2" tires it doesn't go faster that 41 via a good GPS readout, which happens to match the dash speedo readout despite different size tires.

I was wondering if anyone has buy 27' or 28' on the p500 and how they work? more speed? and do you feel that 27' or 28's are to big for it?

If its to slow, why did you buy it and not get a hot rod Razor or other faster unit. My 700 goes plenty fast for me.

even in the atv market, Honda always paid more attention to the utility machines than the sport machines, that's there niche in the market. I don't really need to go any faster than what my p5 can do. If folks find a way to tweak it and bypass the rev limiter, they will still not get a machine that's much faster. Guess they should have went w/ a sport machine like a teryx or a yxz1000r.

i still belive 10mph more would be perfect for the p5 52 is much more betterer then 42 me thinks lol but really the p5 has the power and In my opion the stability to handle 50s BUT!!!!! Honda is just protecting their asses from law suits with keeping the speed down so cant hate them there
