Pioneer 500 owners,
What tire pressure do you run?
FYI - Honda recommends 10 psi cold.

Please answer in the poll or talk about it below.
Thanks.

In psi, vote twice Front & Rear, you may change your vote.

Honda recomends:
Front - 10 psi
Rear - 10 psi

Honda recommends 10 on the 4 ply stock tire on the P500. I have kenda htr and on the kenda site they recommend 7 psi. I initially had my tires at 10 psi but it was too bumpy on rocks. Lowered to 7 psi and much better. The kenda is 8 ply vs 4 ply for the stock tires. My 2 cents.

Hey Curtis,
Yup I have 12" diameter aftermarket 5-2 offset rims, ITP 212's in black (think that's the model) run them on all corners. The notion is to have the ability to rotate tires so they last longer, greater front floatation and support (soft ground, ride and snow plow). So far have been very pleased with this setup. Steering is not noticeably different then stock except if you are doing a really tight turn around then it's a little labourious. Plans are for e steering at some point but I view that as a luxury and would rather have other mods first. E.g. Exhaust, intake, Dobeck ARF, etc.

Hopefully someone can comment if they've run 26x11x12's using stock rims..... that I don't know. Lastly once I put custom mudflaps on it's much nicer to ride, way less mud in the cab on the window etc.

Cheers,

j

i was riding Wildcat in KY at 10 but backed down t 8. 10 was fine riding the 2 miles to the farm on pavement amd doinfg work there but harsh on the dry trails. 8 psi is what was recommended on the bear claw htr's in 26"

I agree. Don't run them below 8. Especially in the rocks. I knocked a bead off on a rocky trail. Over 1000 miles on my set and I think 8 psi is right for these tires.

14" ITPSS312 wheels with 26x9 front and 26x11 rear rip-saw RT's (Sedona) 4 psi front, 5 psi rear. Very stiff tires, and I really think they were engineered for a heavier machine- max load inflation is 18psi for near 800lbs load capacity per tire. I don't load heavy, and 4-5psi gets most of the tread on the ground. Tires were shipped with 12psi, and it was like riding on solid tires- real bad. About 600 miles so far at my pressure setting. They handle and track very well, and are showing no appreciable wear at this point. Traction over stock tires was immediately apparent, and improved noticeably with lower pressure.
