7 to 8 in 26" BH 2.0's.No rocks here, some stumps.Lower pressures seem to sap power away more than I care for.
I dont know how the 2.0's are, but my original BH's i had on the 700...I could run 2-3psi more pressure and get the same ride quality. Best riding tire I've ever run. They are pricey for a reason, I guess.7 to 8 in 26" BH 2.0's.No rocks here, some stumps.Lower pressures seem to sap power away more than I care for.
I feel the small abrupt stuff more as I get close to 9psi.As you said, they are really good tires.I had a set of the originals in 2004 on an atv.I had trouble with them losing air and breaking the bead seal on delta steel wheels.I think they had just been released on the market then.I do t know how the 2.0's are, but my original BH's i had on the 700...I could run 2-3psi more pressure and get the same ride quality. I'm thinking they 1st came out as a bias ply and the radial came later. But...as I'm getting older, I've found the old melon less reliable.I feel the small abrupt stuff more as I get close to 9psi.As you said, they are really good tires.I had a set of the originals in 2004 on an atv.I had trouble with them losing air and breaking the bead seal on delta steel wheels.I think they had just been released on the market then.
I think you are right,I believe I had the very first of the radial version. They did better on stock wheels.I'm thinking they 1st came out as a bias ply and the radial came later. But...as I'm getting older, I've found the old melon less reliable.
8 psi with 27 x 11 (r) and 9 (f) on 14 inch rims with non-radials is what I run on my P500. I have done 6 psi on a rocky trail, slo-poke speed. Hope this helps.I put some 27s off a Pioneer 1000 on my P500. I have 10 PSI all around and was wondering if dropping it down to 8 PSI would help smooth out the ride without causing problems. The ride over washboard trails is pretty hash.
My tires are on 12" rims. Did you find that the lower pressure smooths out the ride? By the way, I meant to type "harsh" not "hash in my original post.8 psi with 27 x 11 (r) and 9 (f) on 14 inch rims with non-radials is what I run on my P500. Any rubbing or clearance issues?
@rocmar has long since passed. RIP.Any rubbing or clearance issues?
Sorry.@rocmar has long since passed. RIP.
I think all of us who knew and interacted with him were shocked and sorry for his sudden death.Sorry.
It might make it ride a little rougher but other than that I don't think it'll be a problem. Not a P500, but I just bought my mom a P520 and am concerned about the lack of power steering when going slow.
currently running the factory tire pressure in the factory tires/wheels - does anyone have input on how much increasing the pressure 5psi would make on slow-speed steering?
since air is cheap, trying this method before throwing down for a power steering kit.
