But i seriously doubt that its covered if it comes off the trailer going down the highway...or if youre towing it and get into a wreck and its damaged. Just something to think about. If it never leaves your property yoir good.

Good points but for now I only need the insurance my homeowner policy provides. I probably will get a stand alone policy sometime next year for added coverage.

Talked to Flo today.....stand alone insurance would $167.00 with $1000.00 vanishing deductible over 4 years, $250.00 per year.

As with Arizona, if street legal then insurance is required.

How does everyone here insure their vehicle? Do you get separate insurance through your auto policy or is your vehicle just covered on your homeowners policy?

Would it be wise for me to buy auto insurance if I am going to be mainly using my vehicle on my own property?
Everything I own is insured by State Farm, but Allstate insured my 700 pioneer for half the cost ,so check around .

So I saw this thread and it reminded me that my insurance is due this month. The insurance on the Pioneer is so cheap I just pay it a year at the time. I bought the machine last December and insurance was $240 for full coverage with Progressive. When I logged on to renew it this morning it has gone down. It is now $136 for a full year of full coverage. I am assuming the discount is due to the machine being a year old and me not having filed a claim this year. Either way, The insurance is way too cheap versus the cost of the machine not to insure it. My philosophy on insurance is, I will carry it until the machine is valued at a point where I could write a check to replace it and it not hurt my feelings. If the check would hurt my feelings then I will transfer that risk to someone else.

I have a 2016 P700-4 my insurance is $270/yr through Safeco. Insurance includes comprehensive, collision, and $300k bodily injury and property damage (covers guest as well). Also, includes $300k uninsured motorist protection. $500 deductible with $3k of accessories covered. Not a bad price for everything that it includes...

Yup mines through progressive I have full coverage no deductible on the machine & accessories for loss, theft, or damage but no other coverage.
$180 a year I think.

State Farm wanted liability personal injury everything that’s required for a vehicle and was $700+ every 6mos, it was double what our two primary vehicles are.
Insurance .... I have not even considered it. LA insurance is out of sight. Guess I should at least check on it. If I could get it for $180, I would jump on it.

I went with Progressive here in Mississippi on my new P1K3. They were the cheapest by a pretty good margin. $255 a year for full coverage, $250 comp and $500 collision Ded. Also covers up to $3000 in accessories, could have added more but I figured that was good for now.

Be glad you don't live in "screw me, Louisiana"! I just check with my insurance, State Farm ...... figuring on only 17K value of Pioneer and $500 deductible, it would be nearly $750/yr!!!!

Shop around... From what I've found some insurance companies treat SxS's as very risky to cover. Also, the longer you go without a claim the cheaper it gets. They want to know you actually know how to drive one before covering it. There is a much higher chance of you turning in a claim on a SxS than pretty much any other vehicle out there.

My insurance agent with State Farm said they will not insure a Polaris even the Honda was $800 every 6 months but it carried liability.

I have a Progressive policy on the pioneer with $10000 in accessory coverage for $180 every 6 months it only covers the machine no one else’s.

Old post but good to keep up and running.
We have everything with State Farm including house, boat, atv, cars. The 2020 700-4 just came in at $754.00 per year. Just did the online quote with progressive insurance, $250-300.00 per year with the same coverages.

I’m still shopping for the Honda I’m about to get but if you have State Farm for anything, I’d change.
