Wow, interesting paint design there, I like it!Got some lights installed on the trailer today and the bottom half painted. Still a few screw holes to fill that didn't hide as well as I'd hoped for. All in all not looking too bad I think.

I kept mine skinny, and will utilize the extra space with Jerry cans and spare tires etc. I personally prefer the skinny body to minimize potential impacts from being too wide.So I'm going to build my trailer this summer. The question is......Do I build over the wheels to maximize interior space? I'm thinking if my wheels are that wide I should utilize the space. ....or maybe just build half way over and have a half fender?
Every inch counts....or so I'm told.

When you read through the thread you'll find this out, but mine is just 40" wide and both myself and mama will be in it (we've tried it out once already) no problems. Mopar's is 48 " wide. You'll be fine staying inside the wheels. Looks much better too, IMO. The wider the heavier!!So I'm going to build my trailer this summer. Right! If my wife was going I'd make it 40" too so she has to "snuggle"
Weight is certainly important so I'm considering an all aluminum frame.

That would be slick if you were a good tig welder!
My trailer is frameless and weighs 650 lbs. there's a lot of pictures of it under construction that you'll find when you read the thread. My wife's uncle is a welding instructor at a college. I'm pretty good with a mig but he has promised to teach me to tig weld. Aluminum is a totally different animal. I hope to learn soon so I can start on a trailer
