No, that he's an NP is only part of it. He has good mechanical experience, is in LE also, has incredible endurance (had been up for 52 hours when I met him) and he's a very nice young man.

I think there may be a change coming in the route. Upon a little research, there appears to be a massive at trail system in the black Hills if SD, I'd like to route through there, as it also provides passage into WY. Stay tuned for updates.

Awesome, try to make it include Mt. Rushmore in west South Dakota and Devil's Tower in east Wyoming. I think the two are only 60-80 miles apart.

I'll check devils tower, can't do mt. Rushmore. I promised mama we'd see that one together for the first time.

I see, that's cool. I've been there a few times now. I'm still glad you're now pulling the route through the beautiful Black Hills. I always thought it a shame to go around them. And the camping is indescribable there.

I sure do like the $3K shocks Smitty has on his 1000! Thinking about having them on mine for this ride!

Mine pulled great with the trailer behind me at 700+ lb.

That was empty at 700lb, and I've already disassembled that trailer.

You could cut that frame to 6'6" and slope the back down to one foot (it's just your feet down there anyway) getting rid of that boxy look and mass, widdling quite a bit of weight off the design!!!!

I'll check devils tower, can't do mt. Rushmore. I promised mama we'd see that one together for the first time.

If I never see devil's tower again I won't be sad about it. It's kinda cool but I would go to mt Rushmore for the 5th time before I ever go back to devil's tower.
