Another thing is that tread pattern on the trilobite is a lot like a bighorn. It's gonna sing on the road. Get as tall a tire as you can fit though. Gear ratio will effectively be higher, meaning more speed/lower rpm

I'm thinking a pretty light expanded metal. Does it go by gauge or size measurement? With the basket design, even if securing straps were to break, the can would likely not fall off as it would on a flat rack. It's also stronger, don't you think?

Yes I do like the reviews on that tire and it should offer plenty of traction and my P500 already has 14in rims. I'll probably be getting 27s for the expedition.
I also still have my oreaginal 12in reems for the 27s
