What's so funny mister??Lol yes, born on date
Hmm that is weird it's a pretty basic size. You may try telling them 16 gauge wall instead of 1/16". ,it's essentially the same thing I'd think they would know that.@Tflynn, I've been to two local steel suppliers and neither had 1-1/4" square in a 1/16" wall. Looks like I'll have to buy it on line. I won't need that much, so the premium price and shipping would be offset by the time and trouble and fuel to go to Tulsa or Dallas I suppose.
That's looking great! I'm rooting for you and your P5!View attachment 28567 ok, gut the skid plates on, toolbox is perfect.View attachment 28568 View attachment 28569 fender flers on front and extended rear fenders out 3in. and still woking on cargo rack witch will be suplide by strong made.View attachment 28571

Just called back, ok, should have talked to the guys in the yard not the front desk lol. Yes, they have 16 gauge. This will be not expensive. One 20' stick of 1-1/4" square 16 gauge and a 1/4 sheet of (I'm not sure yet what size) expanded metal. Should be $60-75.00 and 20-25 lbs.Hmm that is weird it's a pretty basic size. Or just go 1.5" square. Adds unnecessary weight but not much. Damn, I got everything you need right here

I think to save weight and money I'd skip the expanded metal and do a frame like this-Just called back, ok, should have talked to the guys in the yard not the front desk lol. Yes, they have 16 gauge. Why wouldn't 1x1 work? I've used that many times for projects. Plenty strong and if you get moly it lightHmm that is weird it's a pretty basic size. You may try telling them 16 gauge wall instead of 1/16". ,it's essentially the same thing I'd think they would know that.
