I ended up using 1.5 inch pvc and it works flawless. Even at wide open throttle. I felt like the 2 inch was over kill for the stock configuration of the 675cc engine.

Just moved mocked up a snorkel using 1 1/2 PVC people are thinking it's two small and I should use 2". Just wanted to confirm the 1 1/2 is still working ok for you

You guys have mentioned a few times about "cutting". From what I have read on the Snorkel your ATV web site you should not have to make any cuts. As a matter of fact my biggest concern is voiding my warranty. I just bought a 2017 700 2 deluxe with a 5 year warranty and it even addresses it on their sight by saying "easy bolt on kit that is easily removed for warranty work". I dont want to cut anything!!! If she breaks for any unforseen reason i can jerk the snorkel off, make her back stock and bring it in!
When I put mine on , my machine was pretty new... but I cut.... then I picked up a new OEM unit , just in case I had to take in for warranty work, or I didn't like it...new intakes are only about $15.00....so I just sat it on the shelf, just in case ..
But I did "Cut" with mine...
FYI

Yes it did. Never had any issues with it who whole time I ran it. (Maybe like 1/2 a year). I ended up taking it off and routing a new one under my hood to cut down on the intake noise.

I'd also been looking at doing something like this for a while due to the poor original design. I don't mud my machine so I was just looking for the easiest way to get the air intake up and out front to keep my filter clean longer. Here's what I finally got around to. It's heavy duty 2" ducting, not the thin stuff. Later I may go through the roof just above the windshield with a molded elbow or something but for the time being the function is just fine even though some may question the form...Haha. Thanks for the ideas from all who've gone before.
