At any rate, Biden is on record stating that he is not a supporter of defunding the police, which gives the impression of ending and dismantling police. Furthermore, city mayors are responsible for police forces, so the whole thing is a moot point. Kind of like voting for a presidential candidate because they are pro life or pro choice...

I didn't say they could. I merely pointed out that Biden did, in fact, say he was in favor of defunding (redirecting funds = taking them away) police. You can erect all the straw men you want and tear them down with glee, but it doesn't change the facts in this case. He said it. I don't understand people like you. You aren't a dummy by any stretch. Why would you even consider voting for the likes of Biden when the man is obviously suffering from dementia? How long has he been in politics now? 40 - 50 years? What has Joe Biden accomplished in that time? Now, all of a sudden, he's going to change things? Come on man....

Now you’re moving the goal post. Biden has stated that he does not support “defunding the police” which are the responsibility of local municipalities, nor has he said anything about defunding federal law enforcement agencies...

Yes, he said that he supported redirecting (some) funds. “Defunding” the police gives the impression of taking all funds away, and is something no president has the ability or authority to do. For example, in the same interview that some media outlets have mischaracterized, he said that local police departments should not be militarized, that they do not need up armored vehicles. That is the kind of federal funding that he would support redirecting...
