[yes it is aQUOTE="FastRedneck, post: 54599, member: 4329"]Looks like we've got another welder with a bit of skill....that TIG job on the tip looks great. That's pretty much the only thing I've never learned how to do. I want to so bad, just don't have anyone in my shop who does it or any equipment. But I can weld like a mofo with the MIG and arc. Welcome to the club, and that's a good looking color, I've got the same one and love it.[/QUOTE]
Yes it is a good looking TIG weld and miter joint also. I am a pipefitter/welder by trade .Good Craftsmanship Pioneer 1000 !!!

Is there a rolled goods product
that could be used for mud
coverage? Some things I like
to touch & feel, before I buy
it, to make sure I'm getting
what I want.

I am hoping to find something
at Lowes, HD, TS or Grainger.

Great thread.

John

I wish I had a tig to!!!! Lol it's a cheap Home Depot Lincoln welder and the pipe is electrical conduit from Home Depot also 2" welds real good. Used 2 hole saws to some plate I had laying around and of course drill your bolt holes. It's painted black now
I will get more pics when I get back out on the road now.
Buddy took a vid of the exhaust if I can figure out how to up load it

Loud pipes save lives in Florida, to manny people ripping around corners full blast, being all quiet is nice, but not where I'm going to ride, but u put the stock tip back on its quiet again

I've already posted this in my build thread, but figured I'd too on this one too. Stole a page from @BIGRACK and @Delton and fabbed up my own swing away rear basket setup. It is surprisingly light, crazy strong, and removable in under 10 seconds. You can check out my full write up in my build thread for how I built it.

This started out as a temporary fix, but after getting them on, I like it. Won't help with cleanup but should keep some mud off of us due to those Evos sticking out past fenders. Removing/installing is a breeze with those plastic rivets. I accidentally ordered some 10mm ones and they are perfect for this.

Guess it's back to the drawing board with these. I thought I had enough clearance with the tires but the left side kept rubbing if I hit something hard while at the group ride at RRB. The rubbing noise started getting on my nerves so I seen a good sized dip coming up and nailed the throttle....no more annoying mudflap lol. The Evos trimmed off any protruding material lol. I seen it flying off into the woods. Time for plan B.

Made my own switch plate to hold rockers, voltmeter, and RAM mount for GPS. Fabricated it out of the OEM skid plate off of my P500, simply scored the plastic it snapped clean like plexi-glass, then wrapped it in carbon fiber wrap by 3M after I cut all the holes. Pretty happy with it after 300 miles of use.

I made my own roof out of 5051 aluminum 1/8 5'X10' mounted just about everything (lights, radio, etc.) to it. $300 was better than $500 for oem.
Did my switch plate out of the same 5051 aluminum.
Snorkeled my bike after crossing canal and water came up over hood.
