It just looks to me like after cutting 3-4 inches out that when I drop it the posts won't line up!!!!???

You have to add about an inch to the center bars.

Joey!!!!!! I'm a carpenter, I know what a rat tail file is. I was questioning the prudence of using a round file on a long straight, flat piece of plastic lol.

My bad, i'm just too literal and can rarely read into post more than what it is actually typed. Plus I'm just bored out of my gourd sitting here in the chair with my two-year-old today. Don't give me wrong, I would much rather be sitting here than working somewhere out on the road.
