It looks like on long hauls I will have to load the P5 backwards on the trailer..
I weighed the tongue at 65# front loaded 145 # rear loaded .
My trailer is a 10 foot tilt and weighs 450#..so rig and trailer around 1550.
Is there any foreseeable problems loading it backwards..
I think hood could be s issue.

Maybe wind catching the seats and blowing them off because it would be hitting the backside of the seat back. It probably would lessen the chance if you had a big storage box or something on the rear rack. Then again, you would then more than likely have to think about the wind blowing the storage box lid and blowing it open also if you didnt have a good latch to keep it closed. Just my 2 cents. :)

I haul mine backwards just for the same reason to get some tongue weight. I put a bungee cord on the seats the first couple times but now nothing. Also now have a aluminum bed, roof and fold down windshield. I do fold the windshield down.

Hauling backward also allows me to put rear tires against back of trailer, loading forward the bumper hit before the tires.

I thought the hood would be the weak link.

I've hauled it backwards on various trailers with no issues. I've even seen them hauled backwards in pickup beds, so you shouldn't have issues.

I have a 12' tilt bed trailer. I haul mine backwards almost always because the tilt will go down easier. I have a half windshield too and it's never been a problem.

Hauling it backward is just common sense for weight reasons but you don't know what's going to happen until you do it. I'm just reluctant to try it. Depending on how your machine is set up, wind forces and such. I watch my half shield flex going forward, yikes!

They're all designed to go forward and obviously aerodynamics are much better but if a guy needs to turn it around for weight reasons it's not going to hurt anything. Just don't let the hood blow off

Weight reasons....a hoax
there's a thread...telling the split
weight....it's no where near 40/60
.....the rear end...allows p5 to go
farther back......
some do it...cause driving skills
depth perceptions. ..are off...
slamming winch into....front
of bed...
I won't remove parts....to haul
BACKWARDS...
one of the few on here...
that got...the right truck
to haul....my STOMPER

The weight on the tongue is a huge difference .
The original post states that.
Ya it does look wired but my concern is safety..
Pulling it to the woods a few miles front is fine.At high speeds it does get wobbly. I want to be Safe and being safe I don't want to loose or have anything blow off when I tow it backwards
