P1000 Quadboss 5000# winch

Anybody running one of these? Seems like a good deal too me. Thoughts and Suggestions are appreciated.

IMHO, I have reservations. With my mechanical background, I found buying tools taught me that you get what you pay for. So this winch, on the surface it looks like a good deal, bracket and everything included but with the lack of reviews and feedback from others, I would have troubles trusting it. It's like the champion winches available at Costco. The reviews I found all said a good deal but many issues listed. I would personally spend the $$ to get something you can trust. That's why in bought a
Honda P700.

@drfubar has one. I helped him install. He's happy with it. One of the quietest winches I've ever heard. Large buttons on the remote makes it easy to operate with gloves. I'd definitely consider one next time.

Not yet...Trying to get all my goodies in before April.

Totally agree with that statement. When we were both winching out of the depths of hell at Don's place, my Superwinch seemed to be working alot harder than his. Only thing with the Quadboss is how it mounts. We ended up mounting his reversed so it spools off the top. Can't remember exactly why though. You remember Don?

yea, the hole was off a bit and the cable would have been dragging on it rather than coming off straight. now that i have it on my new bumper it comes out straight
