I bought my 2017 P500 and got it home yesterday. This morning I pealed the 26" (9 front, 11 read) ITP mudlite XTRs off the atv and put the rubber on the stock P500 rims. Seem to run fine. The mudlites XTRs are pretty aggressive and are radials. I'm trying them at 10 psi. Width is 50.25" front and back. It now has 10.0" of ground clearance. I won't go around corners as fast...

OK... FNG here. What's 'ASB' stand for?Try loosing the ASB for some added stability.
Sorry, anti sway bar. And yeah, if you're riding a side slope near your tipping point and a rear wheel on the low side drops into an obscured depression, or a root or small stone is caught by the rear wheel on the high side you can be on your side quick.OK... FNG here. What's 'ASB' stand for?
I have afew good hills on the acreage here. I'll measure the angles and put the P5 on some side slopes to try and get close to the balance / tipping point. I'll rope it off 'cuz I'm disinclined to flop it on it's side. I appreciate that when doing a side-slope, bouncing off a rock could put it over. I also know that a 22 yr old has a better chance of putting a machine on it's side that an old guy like me.
& when I put my 2"26's made it real tippy before I put spacers on. 1" on all four and it's way more stable.
It was only 1" taller. Was it really more tippy or was it mentally more tippy? I won't know until spring, when I hope my stock tires will be worn out.26's made it real tippy before I put spacers on. 1" on all four and it's way more stable.

The stock P5 is very tippy. Took me a long time to learn how to approach obstacles that I rolled right over on my Polaris without even thinking about it. I've still had my P5 on its side twice, the Polaris never even close, and I expect the 700 and 1000 not to have the tippy nature of the P5. Anytime you go taller you should go at least the same wider. I guess you've already removed your sway bar.It was only 1" taller. Was it really more tippy or was it mentally more tippy? I haven't removed anything from my P5. I just upgraded to a larger set of brass ones and lean like I'm on a snowmobile. It feels stable the way it is now but I also haven't upgraded my tires yet. Maybe when I do I'll think differently. Either way, I can't go any wider or I won't fit on the 50" trails which I usually don't fit on now.The stock P5 is very tippy. Lol, I wonder why you don't fit the 50" trail now if you're 50"? That snowmobile s*** won't work down here in the rocks and the effects of 50" of rain a year on the trails and roads. Glad you found some big brass ones though.I haven't removed anything from my P5. I just upgraded to a larger set of brass ones and lean like I'm on a snowmobile. The turns are bermed up from the ATVs and dirt bikes. When the P5 leans it gets a lot wider. Here's a video on a wider 50" trail where we actually made it to the end.Lol, I wonder why you don't fit the 50" trail now if you're 50"? Great video, thanks for sharing. I love those kind of trails. No CanAm or Polaris Ranger following you through there. The turns are bermed up from the ATVs and dirt bikes. When the P5 leans it gets a lot wider. Here's a video on a wider 50" trail where we actually made it to the end.
Gotcha. Wonder what it will be like with a year or two of growth and now 47" between those trees??But that doesn't explain why I don't want to go with wheel spacers. That's because some of the trees are only 49.5" apart!
and that was a pretty easy one. More often that not, we have to turn around and go back. We even knocked a tree over once.Great video, thanks for sharing. I love those kind of trails. No CanAm or Polaris Ranger following you through there.

Wider =stabilityWell, I never put it on its side either way so I guess mentally. Spacers eased the pucker factor anyway. Feels more stable.
