My R arrives the first week of April so if your in mid Tenn we should prob do a ride somewhere after I get used to her for a week LOL
I have several good close places to ride
been riding atvs since late 90's when we would go to the Cowan quarry and ride and swim every weekend

Hey Idiot, we might just run into each other if you plan on getting the green R in April.
I put a deposit down on the grey/blue X and was told to expect it in early April...
You can bet I will be there when they open...DRKnight

PS maybe us AZ boys will get a jump on the rest...
Just reread your post, you went for red, Guess I will have to tell you my thoughts on the Talon since i will get mine before you...

Almost ordered one from Western but my local dealer beat them by 500 dollars and i don't have to drive 7 hours round trip. I am really excited, hope mine comes early?

IDIOT, glade it worked out for you. I think you will be pleased with your Talon when you see it.
I visited my dealer yesterday to view both the R & X and was very impressed with the build quality as stated by all the reviews.
Compared to my Polaris RZR 800S it is a much better build.
One of my main concerns was dust intrusion areas which is expected. I run a full glass front and rear window in my units which can lead to a few issues with dust on the inside. I was able to fix 95% of the problem on my RZR.
On the Talon, the area behind the seats even with a full window has a lot of open area that will have to be addressed.
Then under the passenger seat and gas tank area is completely open and I plan on covering it with vinyl and Velcro for a easy fix.
Then there is a large opening on the fire wall for the brake rod and return spring. I will also use a vinyl and Velcro boot like around a shifter mount from the front of the fire wall as it wont work from the inside area.
Then there is the shifter area also which is wide open for dust. I will have to pull the center consul unit to see how to address that area.
And I did not care for the tires, as there is to much open tread surface area for our terrain here in AZ for flat tires.
My dealer bought back my stock tires and rims and will be putting STI HD4 rims 7"x 15 with STI Chicane 30 X 10 - R15 tires on all four corners with one inch spacers on the rear to square up the offset when I pickup the unit up.
I also bought there glass windshield and bottom door inserts. The rear window and other items I will make myself.
Hope this gives you and others a little insight on my findings.
Western is a level 4 powersports dealer and why they have been receiving unit sooner that multi brand dealers.
Seems to be great people to do business with....DRK

I don't have a facebook account. I tried to get one and answered multiple questions ect. Then finely got to the one said I had to have a code from three friends to confirm I am who I say I am.
I gave up at this point. I don't think this facebook thing is for me...DRK

I seen that also. Confirms lots of low end torque and that 104 hp is compatible to them. And maybe it's the DCT that is helping...
