Has anyone deconstructed the roll cage just as a means of transport? I have an enclosed trailer and the 700-4 is too tall.

That seems like an incredible amount of work to transport it. I'm looking at a custom over height enclosed trailer myself to turn into a budget toy hauler.

How much too tall is it Bobby? If its only a little too tall you could just air down your tires. My roof adds a few inches of height, not sure if you have a roof too but that would be easier to remove than the cage. I have a feeling that cage isn't so easy to just pop on and off, seeing as it was a major pain just to remove the nets but I could be wrong, just guessing.

You could chop the top for a permanently lower top and then transport it.

I thought about it but I really like the head room and not having to duck to get in and out. Check out some online pics of people that have chopped it. It really looks cool.

That's funny I've been considering the same thing for a few years. 12-16 foot enclosed trailer, build bunk beds in the front, throw some tools, tires, and a few other spare parts in and you're off!

Way too tall to let some air out of the tires. I have a roof, 3” lift and 28-11-12 tires, and the tire trick would not work when the 700-4 was a stock machine. I read all of that stuff about chopping the cage (that I liked buy the way) but if you have a full cab and doors then that won’t work. I don't think it will be a lot of work to remove the top. I count 14 bolts and take it off in one piece. I am guessing that some dealers receive them with the cage disassembled, Depending on location and the shipping method. This is not something I would do for a day trip. But a three day weekend sure. I have a flat bed trailer for towing here on the island, which I can sell before I leave. Plus I still have to get this thing from Alaska back to the East coast someday in the near future.

I do see them being shipped without the roll cage so maybe it's not all that bad. Just have to try it I guess.
