P1000 S&S Fab skids - anyone using them

need to get some rock protection. I've always been a fan of alum and S&S Fab seem to get good press and value seems on point. Anybody have any input?

Yup lots of input. I've beat mine on rocks repeatedly and holding up fine. Had one self tapper come loose but that's it. I'm a metal guy too and these are great skids.

They'll make em any color you want. I got skid and arm guards for 750 to my door. They make the best looking guards out there in my opinion.

I used mine pretty good yesterday.. I'll try and get some pics underneath, but I was very happy! For the $$ they're awesome!!! I did take and put some dynamat on the top side of mine to ensure they were nice and quiet. Do yourself a favor and save a LOT of time.. by taking the wheels off to put in the a arm guards!! I tried to be a dumbass first.. then I figured it out.

I was reeeeeally glad I had them Sunday! They got used and are really no worse for wear. Easy install and the best I found for the $$$! Thanks @Delton!!!

how are oil changes with them? can you remove just the plate under the engine?

It has cut outs.. he said you should never have to remove them once installed..

Think im going to pull the trigger on a set for my 700-4. What your guys thoughts on spray in bedliner on the top side before I install it

I don't think you'll gain much with bedliner..

Did it last night.. it's fine. There's nothing soluble about it.

They're not heavy.. I'm guessing everything (including a arms) weigh between 50-75 lbs

I have the S&S for the 700-4. I've beat the heck out of mine and it does great. The saving were huge while comparing to the UHMW. I'm glad I went the aluminum route.
