On the road in TN helmets are required. RRB they are not for adults but are for kids. Windrock I believe they are.

Nets, I don’t think RRB or Windrock require them.

To my knowledge,

Royal Blue: SxS on-road helmet not enforced; mind your manners.

Windrock: SxS no helmets required

Hatfield McCoy: helmets required

no net laws anywhere that I'm aware of where I've ridden (KY, TN)

I honestly don’t know. In my experience if you aren’t drawing attention to yourself for the wrong reasons most LEO’s smile and wave when you smile and wave at them.

I leave the net on the passenger side because the wife like it there. Before you remove the driver's side unhook the top of it and try it as an arm rest. It may not work for you but it works out good for me.

Likewise to my knowledge there are no requirements for side nets anywhere. In fact, Honda is the only one that puts side nets on their UTV's. Ever recall seeing a side net on a RZR or Maverik?

I think I read some time ago that Honda installs the nets to allow their owners to "feel" safer.

nets keep the body parts in when the machine goes over - s*** happens - reaction is always to put arm out

nets are black mesh - it’s not an issue seeing thru

to each their own- be safe and ride on !
