Sandstone map. Next time we ride I will locate and measure bridges. I know that 62" wide machines will fit all bridges at Sandstone, we've done it.

I'm curious to see. I'm at 65" in the P1k, but I could throw the stock wheels\tires back on and lose a couple inches. Keep me posted!

Sandstone bridge widths. I’ll edit the official map soon as I have time.

No trail fees still and no rangers. A few people on trail. For opening on May 6, the trails were already tore up in some muddy sections. Still fun though.
Lotus camp is closed so you can’t park there. Coyote camp was open but it’s a tight parking area for trailers. Corral camp is more trailer friendly. And the day use parking are on 395 was open. It’s a huge wide open area but no shade. No toilets are open at any location.

That's a doable ride for me at only 178 miles. Hopefully I can get some time to come and see this place. It's looking like 2021 possible.

Thanks for posting the bridge widths. We had a blast out there today. I grenaded a side view mirror at some point, didn't notice until I got home.

Best trail in the state! I’m sure it was very muddy after all the rain this week.
The creek crossing is pretty cool huh? Then there is the rock climb that used to be a LOT more challenging!
We like the cutoff trail because it’s fast and there are some fun little jumps along it.
There are a few very tight trees!
Thanks for posting the pics.

Long video, but it shows just about the entire trail system for anybody that wanted an idea of what it was like before headed out to ride. It had rained the day before so it was still a little soggy but not too bad.

Have fun. If you’ve never been it’s a great trail. We always park at lotus camp but it may be closed for corona. Last trip we had to park at Coyote or corral camp. It was TIGHT for trailers and no one else was there.

I used to hunt red dirt a lot but never really rode the trails. We always camped at coyote camp so I’m familiar with that area but I’ll check out lotus.

Lotus has running water and regular flush toilets. I think that’s why it was closed our last trip in May. Lotus is tight for trailers too but that’s our preferred spot with the water to cleanup with.

Lotus is still closed so we went to the day use parking lot Right down the road, it has a ton of space for any size trailer. The trail is a lot nicer than the trails at Claiborne! We made the whole loop and really enjoyed it, we will definitely be going back!

Had another nice ride in Sandstone! It was a nice cool day for about 20 miles then the rain hit....that last 10 miles was long lol.

We did come across a father and son on dirt bikes that had a rough day. The son went over a small jump and couldn’t make the turn afterwards. Luckily he was in full protective gear but still ended up with a black eye, bruised ribs, and hurt neck. We wanted to call an ambulance but the father loaded him in the truck and we helped put the bike on the trailer. The only thing holding the front on was the clutch and break cables.

Great video. There is no comparison between the video with a Garmin Virb and Hero.
