Personally I believe that bossmans truck would be so much better sounding and looking with these. Preferably up through the hood imo.😈

Lower the front end, add some nitro and release the vrooom!
The current 5.7 liter hemi V8 engine used in Chrysler 300C, Dodge Charger, Dodge Challenger, and Ram 1500, 2500, and 3500 pickups is not a 392 ci.

I don't know if the Hedman headers might fit but I don'[t think that's the same engine.

5.7 is 345 ci and the 6.4 is 392 ci. I don’t think they use the same head so the exhaust port configuration would probably be different.

Installed Tuesday but the exhaust connector didn't seal and started to leak.

I re-orqued the bolts today. All was good.
applied some Ultra Copper to the flange.
Let it dry a hour or so and tighten it back down. Hopefully that solves it. 0064bc9f730353d0a9a7c46e749795a6

Did you have any exhaust bolts broken in the head?

The heads are the same for the 6.4l Apache motor and the 5.7l Eagle are the same. The usual problem is the aluminum head bolted to a cast iron manifold has different expansion rates resulting in either broken bolts or the cast iron cracking. Shorties are a popular fix because the steel flange is a little more forgiving than cast iron.

A popular swap for cars is to use stock takeoff manifolds from 6.4l SRT cars. The stock SRT manifold is a shorty header. Some guys think they need long tunes to improve flow but unless you have a monster pulling 700hp you won't out flow the stock manifold. Mine is around 540 ponies at the crank and breaths great.

I think the Ram exhaust won't quite reach the SRT manifold and shop fabrication is needed. Aftermarket shorties are more but are the real solution to the problem.
