P500 shifter losing its mind

Anyone ever had the end transient losing track in auto and not letting you shift to neutral, much less reverse? Seems to surge and drop off when starting out before it does it. New vechicle to me, wondering if I am doing something stupid.

Sounds like Maybe a short

Check your engine ground cable to frame as well as any other ground wires. That seems to be over 50% of electrical issues root cause on the Pioneers.

Make sure you battery cables are tight and clean.
