Beautiful area up there. It’s too bad the majority of the trails aren’t a little more challenging. I remember camping near Hannigans meadow with the family in July early 70’s and had ice hanging from the roof of the tent in the morning
It has changed alot since the Wallow fire. I did stumble into some places that I got out of, burnt timber and high winds are a recipe for disaster. All in all it's still fun. Now if the turkeys would cooperate I'd be a happy camper.

I really like this thread. Shows how capable the Pioneer is, especially the 500.

@DG Rider I'm surprised that I don't see a spare tire on that machine, for your awesome outback adventures.
I've toyed with it. All I really need is a wheel, since I have a few tires I can use for spares. I already feel like it take too much crap with me anyway. Honestly, I just don't have that much trouble with flats, and when I do, it's pluggable 99.9% of the time. So I fully expect to have one next ride...

The trails where I ride are finally snow free. Here are some pics from BC.

New trail to me, 315 south of Superior, AZ. Essentially the south end of "Hackberry creek" or Oak flats trail.

@CID along with my motorcycle riding buddy and I explored Old Ripsey Mine not too far from where you were today.

We showed him the coke ovens from the south side of the Gila River. They're barely visible in the center of the pic.

I've never seen the river this low.

Great weather though the wind started picking up in the afternoon.

Cool, the gif looks like you're riding in some type of brush tunnel.

Well... I don't say this too often when riding, but 315 was kind of a bust and I don't know that I'll go back. I've been on the Northern end of this trail as I mentioned before...and I knew it was Rocky, but I expected some break from that, but it wasn't to be. Even the "bypass" was a rock garden.
It was within the capabilities of a pioneer, but it was a constant bouncing, grinding, clanging ride, and the trail doesn't go anywhere special unless you're one of the Indian tribes who considers the area sacred.
Resolution copper is attempting to turn this whole area into a giant hole in the ground and I don't know that it won't be better off for it, but the current administration has put a hold on that.

Fortunately some of the other trails I hit later in the day kind of saved the ride.

Not quite the awesome scenery you guys have access to, but I took my niece and her boyfriend to ride at the ATV park yesterday. Somehow convinced my wife to tag along and she had a blast. Thinking it had something to do with there only being 1 White claw left from the 12 pack she brought when I was cleaning out the cooler...

Near 100 high today. Maybe that's why I am not seeing many out here. Brought tools to take off the doors if need be. Otherwise, beautiful day.

I have not been impressed with Gaia gps thus far. Hopefully you can see it in the pic below but you'll notice that the map is blurred out a bit. It didn't download to the resolution it was supposed to. I've downloaded four maps now with Gaia cached on the phone. Two of them have done this...
