I got a 27" light bar awhile ago and have been going back and forth on how I wanted to mount it. I was afraid if it was on the roof, I'd tear it off. On top of the dash, it would vibrate too much. On the bumper, it would be too low. FINALLY here is what I came up with-
Image

This bar attached at the roll cage joint and provides a sturdy place for lights with no permanent modifications. I will likely add cube lights to the sides later on since there is plenty of room. Still not quite finished in this pic but you get the idea!

I don't think that will be vibrating. Nice job, especially how it's removable.

Mines on my hood but i'm going to have to move it once i get the front basket rack. Which might be awhile but i might just do what you did or something like it. Or maybe mount it to front of rack that will go on hood.

Yeah if you run a rack on there you'll probably want your lights in front of it so if you have stuff piled up on the rack it's not blocking the lights

Update-
Finally got it finished today and wired up. I wanted to show you all a few things I did-
Image

I had to drill these 1" holes on the backside of the bar so I could fit a socket in there to tighten the mounting bolts. I didn't want to leave these giant holes open for water or other debris to get in so I plugged them up with these rubber plugs.

I also routed the wires through the inside of the bar for a cleaner look. If you do this, use rubber grommets!!

That is looking pretty good. And yes, the stock lights are now pointless.

Thanks Joe. Next is mount some cubes on the the sides off at an angle like you have on your 1000. My goal is to have at least a 180 degree field of vision

The side cubes are cheap and a great reward for the price. I like mine so much, i almost think I don't need a switch. Just trigger the relay with the head light switch.

Looking good @Tflynn. The cubes on the sides are much better in flood just a heads up. bought the cubes in spot didn't care for them, since purchased floods and hooked up to battery to see the difference, now just need to mount them hidden, protected. lol

Thanks guys. I want to see your setups too when you get them installed. I'm definitely going with flood cubes @d_b, thanks.
