If you can't drill out the old one, maybe you can use a spot weld drill bit. It's basically a mini hole saw but.......might work 🤷♂️. If not and it were me, I'd run a self tappers right beside the broken bolt. For the forward location (the sheared bolt spot) I should be able to install a +nut or two instead.
For the rear location (boogered threads), that's at a spot where two pieces of the skid come together so I need something there.
Can I rethread that spot? With what, a tap? One that goes into a drill, or one with a T-handle thingy?
Can it be drilled out hollow to accept a +nut?
Other thoughts?
TIA!

You'll probably need to go up in size.A nearby substitute anchor is indeed the plan for that spot. but with a +nut or two.
I just need a plan for the spot with bad threads. I need to use that spot. I don't know if I can re-thread it or not.
Do I have to go bigger; from M6 to M8? Or should I try to rethread with M6? Or try to ream it out with 3/8"?
Just the thickness of the metalAre the threads just in the metal of the framing material, or is there an insert of some kind?

POIDHSkids reattached, all good.
What a boring thread.
Thanx
Seriously, a big 'thank you' to @lee for the plus nut / x nut idea. Seems more secure than the rivnuts. I only heard one of them snap from overtightening.

Guess you are riding skinless then.. nomojicboring. thought about it, but . . . didn't
