I'm thinking about putting spacers on my 500. I know alot of the p5 members are running spacers, offset wheels or both. I understand the further out we go with our wheels the more strain we put on wheel bearings
My question is what size spacers are you running, how many miles do you have on them and have you had any problems with your wheel bearings.
Thanks in advance for the feedback.

Good question! I don't run either on our P 1. If I had a P 5 and wish I had one, I would keep all mods as light and as low as I could keep them, do the same on our P1. I have reframed from installing a wet bar for that very reason! HA!

Have ran multiple set ups and been running wide since I took my only ride without them. If you're running 26's on stock wheels, and haven't added much weight up high, go with 1" spacers. If you go with a 5+2 or 4+3 aftermarket wheel you shouldn't need any spacers. Current set up is 5+2's and 1" spacers and this machine is heavy. Haven't had any bearing problems with mine and haven't heard of anyone else having any either. Spread that stance out a bit and it's a different machine. ;)

Somewhere, someone claimed the 500's bearings can be cross referenced back to a Honda car or some sort. Yes, the more spacer/wheel offset, the harder it is on bearings, but the 500 seems so overbuilt in that regard that it hardly seems to matter.

Hit up a parts fiche, I believe Honda uses the bearing size in their description. Once the size is established, hit amazon and look for the bearing. The 1000's share a bearing off a Sentra or something like that. Never having dug into the 500 parts, it may be similar?

1.5" super ATV on each side in the rear. Considering how these machines are driven i don't see there being an issue with the bearings, off road riding with or without spacers is tough on things. I have 700 miles on mine with no issues.

And I can tell you that RB3 spacers are much better and safer than the ones from others because I installed them on my 500. Quality is their specialty. We now have a stable and happy cow-pi.

I run 2" spacers that are USA made with Billet and use wheel studs instead of bolts.... Dungear1 on Ebay machines them in house. Bearings are a non-issue as far as I am concerned, these machines just don't weigh enough or go high speed, so even if I reduce the life by 1/2 I will need to buy bearings in 5 years (And by then they will be water logged)

Some quick searching shows 44300-SB2-038 for the front (no sizes given). Fits 500, 700, Big Red, and 80's and 90's Civics and CRX's.

Rear is 91056-HL3-A01 BEARING, ANGULAR BALL (37X72X37). Number doesn't cross over that i can find, but the size fits some Renault and Nissans.

Either way, the 500 is way overbuilt here...

I am currently running 1” spacer I the front and a 2” in the back. Only a few hundred miles with this set up but no problems so far. I’m looking into a bearing greaser.

Seems I read on a thread somewhere that the front is wider than the rear by about 3/4" Does that sound right. Im not by my machine right and can't measure it.

I don't know how much wear spacers will cause but there are many on here who are running them. But honestly, whatever premature wear that MIGHT happen is better than rolling it. (From experience).

Lol I agree. I don't bounce as well as I did in my younger days. Keeping it wheels down is a top propriety at this stage of the game

That is correct. I was running just the 1” on the back and the front to rear was just about in line. I found a real good deal on the 2” spacers and moved the 1” to the front.
