Finally got a P1K/3 LE from the good folks at Richmond Motorsports, Richmond KY. The only info I can find in the manual re SPORT mode is how to turn it on. My question is what is the purpose/function of SPORT Mode, in other words what does the machine do in this mode?

Holds your gears longer, good for aggressive trail riding where it might shift too soon. I also use it if I have to tow in high gear. But usually if your 20mph or less, Low is better anyway. Have fun and enjoy the new machine!

I never use it. If I wanna drive aggressively, I go to manual and shift when I want.
I agree with this, I don’t personally like sport mode. Usually in manual mode myself. New drivers in my machine through rough conditions I’ll suggest it though.

It makes the machine shift more agressive. Holds gears longer.

There's a big difference between the 2 if im hill climbing or in tight trails its in manual, unless there's a beverage in my hand then it's in sport. low range seems to be in sport mode no matter what. In tight trails it will up shift when it shouldn't unless its in sport or manual.
