Clip that front corner a bit and you could use factory latch. Covering with metal, fiberglass...?

I'm staring at that pic wondering how you'll make it work with the gas tank and fixed panels. Awesome concept, I'll be keeping my eye on this one.

That's what I was thinking, just leave those fixed panels alone. Might have to kick the hinge out a little to achieve the correct angle for door latch.
Very cool.
