Has anyone removed the Starter on the Big Red
If so how does it come out, from the top or under the unit

Remove the passenger seat and the cover over the gas tank.

Have done that but finding it really hard to get in and unscrew the electrical lead? Any tips
Take the starter off first, then move the starter up so the lead is easier to get to.

Does your replacement starter have the power lead in the same place as your old one or is it on the side of the new starter?

Just changed the starter and it started up 1st go.
Thanks for your help, unscrewed mounting bolts but couldn't get it to move at all, so tapped it lightly from behind to pop it out which gave enough room to turn it upright and undo the electrical cable. Awkward with such a small area to work but it's done. Thx again.
