So today I went out to our local trails to test the climbing ablity of my 700-4. Wasn't able to before since I've always have my wife and kids with me, today was solo. It climbed great even with Maxxis Zillas on it. I live in southern indiana so there's lots of old coal mines. Lots of squaw banks(steep ups and downs) . But on the last hill which was the biggest steepest most off camber hill. I got to the top front wheel on the air and it dies....... uh oh. Then wouldn't start until leveled out more. Anyone else had that?

sounds like it's not getting fuel.

It don't look bad in the picture but it was teetering and I had to almost crawl up that hill on hands and feet

That's what I'm thinking. But arnt the 700s fuel injected?
just looked it up, if it is a fuel filter issue, the filter is inside the fuel pump, inside the tank, so let's hope it's not that.

If you were a little below half tank of fuel like 1/3 or 1/4 tank, it may have starved for fuel while on the incline.

That may be. The filter isn't hard to get to. I've already had it out to clean(had water go in the vent line).

I had 3/4 tank of fuel. But don't know where the pickup tube is in the tank. On that hill it would've put all the fuel on the right rear of the tank

im guessing you got the last bit of water out of the tank.
I used a liquid evacuator to completely drain the tank then removed and cleaned the fuel filter. Also have already ran 4 tanks of fuel thru it.

I've had it happen to me on a steep grade but don't recall my fuel level.
